Start of a Brand New Year
Sunday 5th JANUARY 2025
Following another successful Toy and Train Fair at the Oak Park Active Living Centre, Walsall Wood on Sunday 10th November, 2024 we look forward to welcoming you all again to our next event on Sunday 5th January, 2025
We have been organising the Walsall Wood Toy Fair since June 1991. The feedback we receive from both traders and visitors has always been very positive regarding the space and excellent bright lighting throughout the hall. The large hall enables us to grow the fair and we have over 85+ stalls offering a wide selection of collectable toys and trains etc for our customers. Please note that there is a very reasonably priced Cafe within the complex and this includes hot bacon/sausage baps and a range of other sandwiches and snacks and drinks..
The postal address of the venue is: Oak Park Active Living Centre, Coppice Road, Walsall Wood, Walsall, WS9 9BH - Telephone: 01922 652266.
The venue is situated just off the A461 Lichfield Road - close to junction with the A452. Anyone coming from the Walsall direction if on approaching the old entrance you carry on to the traffic lights and then turn left and follow the road along to the Coppice Road turn on the left you will see the new Leisure Complex as you go past it. Coppice Road will take you to the new car park.
ADDITIONAL CAR PARKING
Additional car parking has now been completed and open - To access the additional parking for Oak Park Active Living Centre when you drive through the gate and onto the original car parking head for the far side where you will see a link road that goes up past the astro turf and then at the top it opens out to approx 200 parking spaces. You can only access this by coming in to the leisure centre entrance although you can see it from the old car park adjacent to the KFC from the Lichfield Road as well. Once parked on this additional area you can quickly walk down the pathway on the lefthand side and it will bring you directly to the main entrance of the centre.
Further parking on the old car park next to KFC off the Lichfield Road is also still available for anyone coming from that direction and again is just a short walk down to the centre.
Visitors and Traders should still be aware that parking regulations are being enforced on the Leisure Centre Car Parks so please make sure you park within the lines and certainly not on any double yellow or hatched area lines, blue badge owners only in disabled spots as parking tickets could be issued and we do not wish this to happen to any of our valuable customers.

Geoff and Linda Price
The Toy and Train Collectors Fair held on Sunday 6th March 2016 once again very well attended by traders and general public and was opened by the Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Angela Underhill, celebrating 25 years at the venue.
Originally starting in the smaller hall back in 1991 and moving to the large hall in 1997 the event has continued to grow over the years and on most occasions over the past few years has been fully booked weeks in advance.
A number of traders have been with us from the very beginning and organiser Geoff Price alongside the Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Angela Underhill paid tribute to the support of the loyal traders and also the support of the general public for keeping the event going when many other Toy and Train Fairs in the Midlands have faded away over the years.
It is fitting that our next event on 15th May 2016 will be the last one in this venue as a brand new Leisure Centre is being built alongside and is nearing completion so it is anticipated that from the 11th September event we will be in the new location a few hundred yards away.
We value everyone’s support for the Toy and Train Fair at Oak Park Leisure Centre, Walsall Wood and long may it continue for future years to come.
