WALL'S ICE CREAM
Built in February 1935 by English Electric and was numbered 256 up until 1968 then renumbered 719. The Tram was in service up until 1994 in the cream and green livery of Blackpool Corporation and carried adverts for many companies and attractions including Blackpool Tower, Opera House and North Pier. 719 Model: This actual model was commissioned by Wall's Ice cream in 1995 as the prototype for the full size version which began operating on the Promenade in 1996. The model shows seating layout with electric for the lighting/adverts. It cost £1,400 to be produced and was given to Diane McKenzie in 1997 as a retirement gift following her work on the project. This model was sold to Geoff and Linda for their collection in September 1998 prior to her move to South Africa.
